Record EPAL Euro pallet production achieved again in 2022
The success story of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) continued in 2022. Following the milestone of producing more than 100 million new EPAL Euro pallets for the first time in a calendar year in 2021, EPAL has increased production to a new record of 109.05 million EPAL Euro pallets. This represents a growth of 7.55 % or 7.65 million EPAL Euro pallets year on year.

10 years of quality partnership between EPAL and Bureau Veritas
The European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) and Bureau Veritas celebrate the 10th anniversary of their cooperation. Once again, more than 100 million new EPAL euro pallets in one year!
Already by the end of November, more than 100 million new EPAL euro pallets have been produced in 2022. The record result of the year 2021 will once again be clearly exceeded again in 2022.

EPAL Board meeting on 6 December 2022 in Düsseldorf
The last Board meeting of 2022 of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) took place at EPAL International in Düsseldorf. The development of the EPAL Euro pallet pool in 2022 and the forecast for 2023 were at the heart of the Board meeting. Adapting the EPAL Technical Regulations to the demands of digitalising logistics was a particularly important theme.

EPAL was inducted as a member of the Logistics Hall of Fame
The European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) was inducted as a new member of the Logistics Hall of Fame on 29 November 2022 at a gala reception in Berlin. The Presidents of EPAL, Dirk Hoferer and Jarek Maciążek, personally received the award from the Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, Dr. Volker Wissing.

Labelling obligation for packaging in Italy comes into force on 01 January 2023
For EPAL pallets and other transport packaging, the indication of the recycling code FOR 50 in the transport documents is sufficient.

EPAL Board Meeting on September 23, 2022 in Lisbon
On September 23, 2022, the Board of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) met in Lisbon for its third meeting in 2022. The board meeting has been chaired for the first time by the newly elected EPAL presidents in June 2022, Dirk Hoferer and Jarek Maciążek.

EPAL General Assembly held on 24 June 2022 in Zurich
The 2022 General Assembly of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) took place in Zurich on 24 June 2022. The key element of this General Assembly was to bid farewell to the previous President Robert Holliger and elect the new Presidents, Jarek Maciążek and Dirk Hoferer.
